Vintage Postcard RPPC Heidelberg Castle Germany Model Before War Destruction
This is a fascinating architectural postcard because it does not show the actual ruins of the Heidelberg Castle, but a highly detailed, crisp scale model reconstruction showing exactly how the massive Renaissance palace looked at its peak architectural glory before it was systematically bombarded and burned by French troops during the War of the Grand Alliance in 1689 and 1693.
