A dramatic, upward-looking perspective highlighting the immense scale, thick bark pattern, and towering canopy of an ancient Ponderosa Pine tree. Hand-lettered in white cursive styling by the photographer: "Looking up a Giant Ponderosa Pine Highway 62, Ore". It also features a localized mid-trunk notation reading "Height 169 Ft."

Social History: The Art-Ray Company specialized in capturing the awe-inspiring timberlands, parks, and roadside oddities of the West. This postcard encapsulates the mid-century American conservation and travel boom, serving as a snapshot of Oregon's early timber identity before extensive highway widening and logging altered many roadside old-growth stands.
