Social History: 
Mailed on March 22, 1955, this postcard documents a unique period in San Antonio history. Following the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, the city's famous Japanese Tea Garden was renamed the "Chinese Tea Garden" - a name it retained until the 1980s.

Scene: The front features the lush quarry garden with tiny figures of visitors strolling across the stone bridges.
