Social History: The handwritten message to Miss Esther Cathy (Gathy) in Hapeville, Georgia, provides a delightful 1950s cultural snapshot:

"I am at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel. Had a lovely trip up today. Weather is really cold here but the sun is shining. Saw the movie Hans Christian Anderson today. You must be sure and see it when it comes there. Love, Inez."

This film, starring Danny Kaye, was released in late 1952, making this a very timely "review" sent during its initial theatrical run.
