Social History: Written by a young nurse or medical student to her parents, documenting her first day moving into the hospital dorms:
"Dearest Mom & Dad, moved into Harborview Hall this afternoon. My single room is comfortable and of fair size. I have lamp, easy stuffed chair with covering, combination desk and bookcase, chair, bedside table, dresser, single bed and lavatory. Nice large parlor down stairs and library with daily papers, magazines, fiction, non fiction and nursing books. My room locks automatically and have a key to my mailbox - Love, Pat"
