Vintage Postcard 1937 Shaved In Bus Cincinnati OH Carew Tower Social History
Social History: This postcard back tells a hilarious story of a "budget traveler" in the 1930s, featuring a unique message from Detroit, Michigan to Herman Marquardt in Long Beach, California:
"Shaved in bus station in Cleaveland. So far I have not spent a cent in a hotel yet."
Scene: A beautiful night lithograph of Fountain Square and the Carew Tower. Note the tiny, colorful people standing in front of the RKO Albee Theater—a world of entertainment they were likely visiting while our sender was looking for a sink in Cleveland!
