"Dear Cousin Stella - This is the view from our cabin. Isn't it lovely? I am up here for 2 weeks & then in Duluth for a couple of days and home by Aug 15th. Hope to get down to C'ville for a day or two after that. Hope you are well. Helen"

This patriotic stamp series was issued by the U.S. Post Office Department in late 1940 to support the national defense build-up before America's formal entry into World War II.
