Social History: The printed poem on the front reflects the "Postcard Craze" era's social pressure to correspond:

"I write today just this to say, I'm still looking for your letter; I hope it's not that you forgot - No, I trust I know you better."

Postal History: The card bears a rare Montborne, Washington circular date stamp from 1909. It was mailed to Mr. Perry Miller at a Rural Free Delivery (R.F.D.) address in Mt. Vernon, Washington.

Once a thriving mill town on the shores of Big Lake, Montborne's post office closed decades ago as the logging industry shifted, and it is now listed as a ghost town in many historical records.

Scene: This beautiful embossed antique postcard features a cluster of vibrant purple asters set against a shimmering gold-textured background.

Era: Divided Back Period (1907–1915)

Size: Standard 3.5 x 5.5"

Type: Embossed color lithograph with metallic gold-tone texture

Publisher: Features a distinctive "AR" logo

Condition: Minor corner wear and "honest" postal handling marks that prove its 115-year journey.
