This historic note was printed secretly in Boston by the Allied forces to prepare for the liberation of Europe. Known as "Supplemental Currency," these notes were distributed to American and British troops right before the Normandy D-Day landings to prevent local economic collapse and hyperinflation from currency influx.

Features a highly patriotic central medallion displaying the French Tricolor flag surrounded by the revolutionary motto: "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité" (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity).

Serial: 17594843

Size: Approximately 156 mm x 68 mm

Security: Highly dense, wavy line geometric lathe patterns to deter counterfeiting

Condition: Very Good (VG) to Fine condition. It displays standard circulated handling wear, including a heavy central vertical fold crease and overall light softening. Toning and minor edge wear are consistent with an authentic 1940s war-issued note.
