Social History:  A mother’s brief but warm message to her son, Duncan, who was staying at the Hotel Raymond in Spokane, Washington. She writes, "I arrived safe in Mullan everything looks just the same will be home Sunday at five from Mother."

Scene: Featuring birch trees and grazing sheep. This style of "art postcard" was a popular way for early 1900s travelers to send miniature gallery-style artwork through the mail.
