Antique Postcard 1909 GWU Fraternity Dances Swell Bride Carnegie Library DC
Social History: Written by a George Washington University student to Miss Mamie Worthington, Rosslyn, Maryland, it outlines life in college:
"The nativesof Ky are fine. Say, if you should visit Washington I shall hope that you will let me know and give me a chance to see you. I am very busy now. I am trying to graduate in Feb. next instead of waiting till June. We will have some Geo. Wash. class and fraternity dances soon. If you are in Wash. when one is on I'd be glad to invite you. I saw Miss Ida Offutt Sunday. She certainly will be a swell bride. Wish I had seen her first."
