This curated 1920 Austrian emergency banknote collection showcases the era’s striking expressionist woodcut artwork across a rare 90-Heller castle note and regional town vouchers. The four-piece archive highlights the rich typography and local pride of the Upper Austrian district of Meggenhofen and the twin Danube River communities of Pöchlarn and Klein-Pöchlarn.

Meggenhofen Note (40 Heller): The layout features a striking, deep blue ornate text border framing clean gothic typography and a designated authorization stamp in the upper right corner.

Pöchlarn Castle Note (90 Heller): This scarcer high-denomination note features a detailed, light-green landscape woodcut illustrating the grand, historic Pöchlarn Castle (Schloss Pöchlarn) framed by elegant border flourishes.

Pöchlarn Town Note (30 Heller): The front illustrates a fine-lined panoramic landscape view of the historic town square and medieval church towers rising along the rolling hills of the Danube River Valley.

Klein-Pöchlarn Note (50 Heller): The piece centers on a detailed architectural vignette of the local church steeple rising high above a traditional village courtyard, wrapped inside a soft reddish-orange ornamental frame.

Condition: From Very Good to About Uncirculated, with minor edgewear.
