Social History: The message is sent from Cooperstown, New York to The Cohens at the Clover Farm Store in Bradford, Massachusetts, in 1975:

"Have had some good food up here—also some very bad food! We need some good Clover Farm meat!"

Clover Farm was a famous voluntary chain of independent grocery stores. Sending a "missing your meat" message back to a local butcher/grocer is a charming snapshot of 1970s community ties.

Postal History:  8-cent "Contributors To The Cause" stamp featuring Sybil Ludington, the "female Paul Revere" for her role in the American Revolutionary War in 1977. The stamp is especially topical, as it was released just months before this card was mailed to commemorate the upcoming Bicentennial. The "Preservation Week" slogan cancel is a nice extra detail for postal history collectors.

Scene: The image on the front depicts the "Chinese Pagoda," a massive calcite formation in Titan's Temple. This specific "Plastichrome" card is known for its high-gloss finish and vibrant, saturated colors that were meant to make the cave look as dramatic as possible for tourists.
