Vintage Banknote Lot 2005 Zambia Dove Watermark UV Elephant African Eagle UNC

This lot features two matching banknotes issued by the Bank of Zambia in 2005. These notes represent the historic currency system used before Zambia redenominated its money in 2013 by cutting three zeros. Both show the African Fish Eagle, the proud national bird of Zambia.

500 Kwacha: Features a majestic African elephant head on the reverse side alongside traditional field workers harvesting cotton.

1000 Kwacha: Showcases a rare numismatic depiction of an African Aardvark on the reverse, alongside a modern farm tractor working a maize crop.

Security: Under an ultraviolet blacklight, both notes reveal hidden high-tech security features. Features a fully transparent, see-through security window shaped like an African dove embedded directly into the paper body.
