Own three authentic pieces of Cold War military history. These 4th Series vouchers were issued by the Command of the Army Council. These are 4th Series One Pound (£1) Special Vouchers, issued around 1962 for use by British troops stationed abroad during the Cold War. These vouchers were the only legal tender allowed in official military canteens, intended to control spending and inflation in deployment zones.
