Social History: Mailed to Mrs. George Pike, Lisbon, N.H:
"The crowd are to play the drama at Wentworth Fri eve. & Mrs. R. and I expect to go too—so will write after that. I am having a bad time with my right eye bandaged ever since Sun. Hope it will be better by then as I did not attend the play here so am anxious to see it. We leave here on the 5 A.M. return at 3.30...L.M.W."
Scene: Completed in 1819, this Greek Revival State House in Concord New Hampshire is the oldest state capitol in which the legislature still meets in its original chambers.
