Antique Postcard 1915 Charleston Illinois Christmas Embossed International Art
Social History: Mailed just two days before Christmas, the card was sent from "Freda" to Miss Lydia Maeke on Route 2 in Humboldt, Illinois. The front features a festive poem:
"Your Christmas Day / Kind hearts unite. / To make it happy / Blest and Bright."
Scene: A serene, snowy mountain landscape featuring a glowing yellow moon (or sunset) and heavily frosted evergreen trees. The scene is physically raised through blind embossing, giving the card a 3D effect.
