Social History: The sender writes from Fishersville, Virginia to Ardmore, Pennsylvania: "I am so sorry not to see you again before we left, but I was so busy... It is quite cool and the scenery around here is magnificent! We are looking for Mr. Allen soon. Hope you all have a very pleasant summer."
Scene: This card captures the New River Canyon long before it was designated as a National Park was intended to showcase the C&O Railway snaking through the gorge as an engineering marvel of the time.
