Social History Charm: The card is addressed to Adolph Marcelonis in Bradford, Mass. The handwritten message provides a quintessential glimpse of Canadian 1930s farm life:
"Wonderful weather! Strawberries just coming in. Lots of cream here at the farm. Did you say 'DIET'??? Sincerely, M.B."
Postal History & Significance: This postcard features a highly desirable CAMP-R.P.O. circular cancellation. Railway Post Office (RPO) cancellations are prized by specialists as they indicate the mail was sorted and hand-stamped while in transit on a moving train.
Scene: The Post Office building itself is a landmark of Classical Modern architecture, built in 1935 as a federal works project to provide local employment during the Great Depression.
Condition: Minimal shelf wear and light rounding at corners consistent with its 85+ year age.
