This is a set of emergency paper money prepared by the Allied Military Government for Operation Overlord, issued to troops during the 1944 D-Day landings. All three notes bear a stylized square framing of the French Tricolor flag paired with the iconic national motto: "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité".
