Vintage Banknote English One Pound Queen Elizabeth II Bank England J.S. Fforde

This classic £1 note belongs to the Series C issue, known as the first Bank of England series to feature the portrait of a reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. Issued between 1960 and 1978, this note was issued before it was replaced by the £1 coin in 1983.

Features a young portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in the Diamond Diadem on the front and a seated figure of Britannia on the reverse.
