This historic note captures a critical moment in World War II Belgian history. While Nazi forces occupied Belgium, the Belgian government-in-exile operated from London. To prepare for the country's inevitable freedom, they secretly commissioned British printers to manufacture an entire series of emergency currency dated 1943.

It is also historically vital as one of the final series to display dual currency values: 10 Francs equaled 2 Belgas (a currency unit introduced in 1926 to distance Belgium from the French Franc).

Serial: A1 351137

Size: Approximately 125 mm x 70 mm

Security: Complex, tightly woven lathe work and multi-layered underprint patterns

Condition: Very Fine (VF) circulated condition. Edge wear, paper aging, creasing.
