This 1943 One Gulden note was printed in the USA by the American Bank Note Company for the Dutch government-in-exile while the Netherlands was under occupation during World War II.

  • Serial Number: 3AS 067125
  • Design: Portrait of Queen Wilhelmina (Front); Dutch Royal Coat of Arms, flanked by two lions supporting a crowned shield with the motto "Je Maintiendrai" (I shall maintain). This classical heraldry was a powerful symbol for the Dutch people during and after the occupation (Reverse).
  • Denomination: 1 Gulden (Een Gulden)
  • Condition: Circulated. This note shows authentic historical wear, including center folds and soft edges consistent with its time in use during the liberation era.

These notes were shipped to the Netherlands following liberation to restart the economy. A must-have for WWII historians, collectors of Dutch royalty, or numismatists.
