Vintage Postcard 1942 Soldier Mail Russian Hill San Francisco WWII Defense Bonds
Social History: The message is written by Pvt. Roy H. Bohn, a soldier stationed in San Francisco, to Mr. D.A. Lazer in Hollywood. Roy expresses his "disappointment" at missing a meeting with Don, adding a poignant human layer to wartime service:
"Dear Don well it was a quite a disappointment not seeing you. I sent directions. Did some thing hapen Don. Well Don wright and let me know. I got a letter from Morris was I ever glad. Hoping to hear from you soon. Your old Pal Roy"
