5 Pesos: Dated April 28, 1965, this famous "Josefa" note is a classic piece of mid-century Mexican currency. Printed by the American Bank Note Company in New York, it represents the final era of paper five-peso notes before they were entirely replaced by circulating coinage. Serial: E589849.

5000 Pesos: Both dated May 10, 1985, these high-denomination bills come from a major high-inflation era in late 20th-century Mexico. They honor Niños Héroes, the six teenage military cadets who died defending Mexico City's Chapultepec Castle during the Mexican-American War. Serial: X 3052642 and W 3074595.
