Social History:  Mailed in June 1911, the message from "Jessie Gray" in Baker, Oregon to a friend in Denver, Colorado, is full of Edwardian-era charm. She writes about having a "lovely time" and cheekily asks, "How about the old gentleman? Let me hear from you." This personal exchange provides a rare, human connection to the early 20th-century history of Baker City.

Scene: The front features the Baker County Court House, a monumental structure built from local gray volcanic tuff in the Richardsonian Romanesque style.

Era: Divided Back (Golden Age, 1907–1915)
Type: Early 20th-century color lithograph
Series Number: 6124

Size: Standard 3.5 x 5.5"
Condition: Please note there is some black ink cancellation marking visible on the front, which occurred during the high-speed mechanical sorting process in 1911. The stamp is intact, and the pen message is legible.
