This two-piece numismatic collection captures the profound economic disruptions across Central Europe during and immediately following World War I.

Germany 2 Mark: Issued on August 12, 1914, just days after the outbreak of World War I, this Darlehenskassenschein (Loan Bank Note) represents the German Empire's immediate wartime financial mobilization.

Austria 50 Heller: This regional Gutschein (Notgeld / Emergency Voucher) was issued on June 27, 1920, by the local municipality of St. Laurenz. Following the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, hyperinflation and extreme coin hoarding forced individual towns to print localized paper money to ensure small-scale merchant trade could survive.

Condition: Light circulation, corner wear, paper softening
