Antique Postcard 1903 Bonnie Scotland Fair Maid’s House Perth Walter Scott

Social History: Written to Mrs. A. MacKintosh in Newcastle-on-Tyne. The sender writes a note about sending a physical gift along with the card:

By same mail you will receive a small box enclosing a keepsake for John, Maggie & yourself to keep you in remembrance of 'Bonnie Scotland'.

Scene: This is the oldest secular building in Perth (dating back to 1475). It was made world-famous by Sir Walter Scott’s 1828 novel, The Fair Maid of Perth. The house is currently the home of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
