1932 Hungary Banknote 50 Pengo National Poet Sándor Petőfi Portrait Vintage Bill

This historic Hungarian 50 Pengő banknote is dated October 1, 1932, and represents a classic peacetime currency issue from the Kingdom of Hungary. Designed by the famed artist Álmos Jaschik, the obverse features an elegant portrait of national poet Sándor Petőfi, while the reverse captures an equestrian scene depicting a traditional Csikós herder on horseback. The 50 Pengő notes avoided late-World War II emergency reprinting runs, giving surviving examples a strong premium over higher denominations.
