These cards represent Spain's transition in the mid-20th century from a traditional, deeply religious society to a global tourist destination. While Ibiza and Benidorm became famous for their beaches and nightlife, these "souvenir" cards were sold to visitors who still sought out the villages' spiritual heart.

Card 1 (Ibiza): Depicts the Retablo Altar Mayor of the Church of San José (Sant Josep de sa Talaia) on the "White Isle." This church, completed in 1731, is a prime example of the fortress-church style typical of Ibiza, designed to protect the local population from pirate raids.

Card 2 (Benidorm): Features the Iglesia Parroquial San Jaime. Built in the late 18th century, this neoclassical church is famous for its iconic blue-tiled domes and houses the statue of the city's patron, the Virgen del Sufragio.
