Social History: Addressed to Dresden, which at the time was part of the GDR (East Germany) from Berlin. Translated from German:

"Berlin, 9.4.80. Dear Marion, dear Werner! Many thanks for the Easter card. We were with the parents again from 28.3 - 7.4 in Bischofsgrün. The weather was bearable. As always, we hiked a lot, bought souvenirs, fed the chickens, took the dog for walks, and drank beer in the evening..."

The mention of Bischofsgrün (a resort town in the West) and the destination of Dresden (in the East) makes this a perfect specimen of "Inter-German" postal history.

Scene: Features the iconic Gold Mask of Tutankhamun and was produced for the major "Tutanchamun in Berlin" exhibition.

Postal: Features a highly collectible pictorial commemorative cancellation for the "Tutanchamun in Berlin" exhibition.

Size: Continental 6 x 4"

Type: High-quality offset lithography

Publisher: Philipp von Zabern, Mainz

Condition: Note that the address has been partially redacted in blue ink, which shows through on the front side. Minro corner bumping.
