These are consecutive pair of two original 1000 Seribu Rupiah banknotes issued by Bank Indonesia dated from the Year 2000. Features a powerful portrait of the national hero Kapitan Pattimura, a brave Malukan soldier who led a famous 1817 revolt against the Dutch colonial empire. He is depicted holding a traditional parang cleaver.
