Vintage Banknote 1974 Bahamas Sea Garden Tropical Fish Queen Elizabeth Watermark
This beautiful antique One Dollar banknote was authorized under The Central Bank of the Bahamas Act 1974. This historic issue represents the very first sovereign banknote series released by the newly established Central Bank following the Bahamas gaining complete independence from Great Britain.
Features Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the elegant George IV State Diadem. The background is adorned with ornate geometric patterns, fine lathe work, and palm fronds. The reverse side boasts a magnificent, colorful tribute to the islands' natural beauty, capturing a lively undersea coral garden teeming with diverse tropical fish species.
