Social History: This card captures the "Nature-Faker" era of the early 1900s, where wildlife education was often secondary to sensationalized adventure storytelling. The detailed narrative on the reverse describes the tiger as a "confirmed man-eater," reflecting a time when exotic animals were viewed more as fearsome adversaries for "sportsmen" than as species in need of conservation.

Scene: Prowling tigers in a jungle setting, part of a "Safari" series often inspired by Theodore Roosevelt's famous African expeditions. There is an alligator in the water, and natives rowing their canoe below the waterfall.

Era: Divided Back (1907–1915)
Publisher: M.J. Mintz, Chicago (Copyright 1909)
Type: Printed Lithograph
